Jerry Don Meredith, who resided near Central City, Arkansas, died Monday, August 18, 2025, at his home. He was born on February 11, 1949, in Galt, California, to the late Gail Freeman Meredith and Dorothy Mae (Davis) Meredith. He was 76 years old. He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Bonnie Robinson, Ginger Henry and Diane Campbell; and a brother, G.A. Meredith.

Jerry worked his entire working career in the oilfield business. He loved the outdoors and playing golf. He was a member of First Southern Baptist Church in Central City.

Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, August 21st at Brotherton Funeral Home Chapel in Charleston, with Pastor Russ Tyler officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Valley Cemetery, located south of Lavaca, under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home and Flower Shop in Charleston.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Barbara (King) Meredith; a daughter, Jenifer Meredith of Central City; three sons, Jerry Paul Meredith and wife Monica of Lavaca, Bobby Don Meredith of Central City, and Phillip Meredith and wife Pamela of San Antonio, Texas; three sisters, Barbara Bowen and husband R.C. of Fort Smith, Debbie Hobbs and husband Johnny of Lavaca, and Sherry Lynn; two brothers, Ricky Meredith and wife Debbie of Panama, Oklahoma, and Robby Meredith and wife Glenda of Lavaca; (8) grandchildren; and (11) great-grandchildren, with one on the way.

Pallbearers will be his sons and grandsons.

The family will visit with friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
