LifeQuest of Arkansas, the state’s largest educational nonprofit for older adults, is expanding to Conway with a new satellite campus launching this fall.
In partnership with Hendrix College and First United Methodist Church of Conway, the fall term of classes will run September 15 through November 11, with all classes held on Mondays at First United Methodist Church at 1610 Prince St. in Conway.
LifeQuest courses cover a wide range of topics, taught by volunteer instructors, and are designed to keep older adults socially connected and intellectually engaged. Registration for the fall term opens Monday, August 19 at 9:00 a.m. via lifequestofarkansas.org.
The $85 fee provides access to all LifeQuest classes in Conway, Little Rock, or online.
“At Hendrix, we believe learning is a lifelong journey,” said Hendrix president Karen Petersen. “Our new partnership with the First United Methodist Church in Conway and LifeQuest of Arkansas reflects an ongoing commitment to serving our community by investing in the education, personal growth, and well-being of older adults. We’re pleased to partner with FUMC to bring a LifeQuest satellite campus to Conway and enrich the lives of participants in our community.”
With Arkansas’ population of adults over age 65 nearing 540,000, and projections indicating that over a quarter of Arkansans will be 60+ by 2030, programs like LifeQuest can play a vital role in promoting healthy longevity and active aging.
Founded in 1981, LifeQuest of Arkansas is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit offering lifelong learning, volunteer opportunities, and social engagement for intellectually curious older adults. LifeQuest is nonsectarian and supported by over 20 interfaith congregations. Programs are offered in person and online.
