Sheila Kay (Jeferson) Mitchell, age 69, passed away on June 18, 2025, in Little Rock, Arkansas. She was born on January 1, 1956, in South Bend, Indiana, to the late Tomson and Edna (Jones) Jeferson.
Her family and friends knew Sheila as a devoted and loving woman whose life was guided by her deep Christian faith and unwavering love for her family. Her warmth, strength, and compassion left a lasting impression on all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Tomson and Edna Jeferson; her beloved husband, Terry Mitchell; her niece, Cindy Webster; and her nephew, Douglas Dalton.
Sheila’s legacy lives on through her loving family: her children, Jason Padgett and his wife Jennifer, and Trina Mitchell-Warlick; her cherished grandchildren, Bishop, Dustin, Asia, Lakin, and Aaron; and her great-grandchildren, Mykelti and Charles.
She is also survived by her sister, Barbara Walls; her brothers, Tommy Gatlin and Larry Gatlin; her nieces, Amanda Dalton, Tammy Sego, and Melissa Fyffe; and her nephews, Larry Gatlin and Bobby Bullington.
A graveside service will be held at Garden of Memories Cemetery on July 9, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. Cremation is under the care of Lewis Funeral Chapel.
