Mary Lou “Lucy” Edwards

Mary Lou “Lucy” Edwards, 82, of Greenwood, Arkansas, formerly of Salem, Arkansas passed away Wednesday, February 5, 2025 in her home. She was born April 11, 1942 in Center Ridge, Arkansas to James Madison “Matt” and Ethel Mae (Flowers) Hall. She was employed by Salem Shirt Store for over 20 years and then retired from the home healthcare industry. She loved reading, sewing, watching old western movies and loved spending time with her grandkids. She was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Jenny Lind.

She is survived by two sons, William Gary Edwards, II and wife, Mary of Buda, TX and Terry Wayne Edwards and wife, Kelly of Red Oak, TX; one daughter, Kimberly Dawne Cox and husband, Shannon of Greenwood; three brothers, Leon Hall and wife, Wanda of Imperial, CA, Danny Hall and wife, Linda of Kewanee, MO and Stanley Hall and wife, Carol of Clinton, MO; one sister, Shirlene Smith of Laurel, MS; nine grandchildren, Christopher Edwards, Julia Edwards, Alexander Edwards, Kirby Edwards, Rosalee Shahan, Hannah Edwards, Ian Edwards, Brittany Sprinkle and Autumn Cox; ten great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Jim Hall, David Hall and Bobby Hall and one sister, Sue Seymore.

Funeral service will be 10 a.m., Tuesday, February 11 at Faith Baptist Church in Jenny Lind with burial at Liberty Cemetery under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home of Greenwood. Viewing will be Monday from 1 – 7 p.m. at the funeral home, where the family will visit with friends from 5 – 7 p.m.

Pallbearers will be Gary Edwards, Terry Edwards, Shannon Cox, Danny Hall, Rob Hall and Pat Linam. Honorary pallbearers will be Ian Edwards and Kaeson Sprinkle.
