Twenty health care and health tech companies from across Arkansas will participate in the second annual cohort for the Arkansas Collaborative for Technological and Innovative Venture Equality (ACTIVE) program.

This initiative, which is a partnership between BioVentures LLC and The Venture Center, aims to enhance health outcomes throughout Arkansas.

The ACTIVE program is dedicated to supporting socially and economically disadvantaged individuals (SEDI) with innovative, early-stage health care and health technology ventures. This commitment to SEDI addresses underrepresentation and unrealized potential in the health tech sector.

By focusing on SEDI entrepreneurs, ACTIVE promotes equitable innovation in the health care industry, driving economic growth, introducing diverse health tech solutions, and improving health care outcomes.

“The success of our first ACTIVE cohort demonstrated the transformative potential of equipping disadvantaged founders with the right training, resources, and support to address pressing health care challenges in their communities,” said Dmitri Scott, program manager for ACTIVE.

“We learned and grew alongside the first cohort, and we are proud to continue working with them as they push toward achieving remarkable milestones. This year, the enthusiasm and passion from our second cohort is inspiring. We can already see how this group has the potential to create meaningful change — not just in their communities but across Arkansas as a whole,” added Scott.

The following companies are among the 2025 ACTIVE cohort:

Active Telecare
Crown Yours Rx
CPRNWA
Dynamic Baby
HealthScope Films
Integrated Recovery Initiatives of Arkansas
Intentional Strategies
InternalStitch
Mimo Medical Services (MMS Stephens clinic)
Mobile Audiology: Bringing Hearing Care to ALL
Nano-cure
Pretty Pathways
Ready.Set.Measure
Renaissance Solutions LLC
SoundCare Audiology
TAG Healthcare Business Solutions
The Hobbit Hikers
TrailBlaze Therapeutics
UQS – United Quality Solutions
We Care, Chronic Care Management Services PLLC

“This program is about empowering health care innovators with the skills needed to transform their ideas into solutions,” said Daniel Schutte, vice president of strategic partnerships at The Venture Center. “From mastering branding and obtaining certifications to addressing cybersecurity and telehealth challenges, we are offering these companies the tools they need to succeed. Our goal is to prepare participants to tackle the nuances of the health care and health tech industries.”

Funding for the ACTIVE program comes from the Minority Business Development Agency’s Capital Readiness Program and is supported by additional partnerships including the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff and Philander Smith University.

BioVentures LLC, established by the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS), aims to promote a biomedical technology industry in Arkansas.

The Venture Center’s immersive accelerator programs are designed to accelerate the growth of early-to-growth-stage companies and help validate their solutions for real-world problems.
