E.C. Barton & Company to open six new locations across the south
E.C. Barton & Company will open six new Home Outlet stores in 2025, the Jonesboro-based retail chain said Wednesday (Jan. 15). The new stores will be located in Athens and Newnan, Ga.; Myrtle Beach, S.C.; Murfreesboro, and Clarksville, Tenn.; and Mooresville, N.C.
The additions bring the total store count of the Home Outlet division to 112 physical locations across 20 states, and a total company count of 127 stores across their three retail brands. A timeline for opening and the total invested capital in these projects was not released.
“Over the past few years, we have focused on consistent growth, successfully opening on average five or more stores annually, whether organically or through acquisitions,” said Mark Biggers, President of E.C. Barton & Company. “With the strong support of our Board of Directors, we are committed to maintaining this growth trajectory. We’re especially excited about the planned openings in 2025, with six new Home Outlet stores launching within the first few months of the year in highly coveted markets we’ve targeted for some time.”
During the past five years, E.C. Barton & Company has opened 20 new Home Outlet locations, acquiring the Seconds and Surplus brand in Dallas, Texas, and expanding the DFW market with a fifth Seconds & Surplus store.
“As we celebrate 140 years of proudly serving our customers’ building material needs this year, we remain dedicated to providing exceptional service and value that make our stores truly unique,” said Biggers. “I can’t wait for these new markets, and others as we continue to expand our footprint, to experience firsthand the incredible expertise and passion of our store partners in helping homeowners and professionals bring their plans to life.”
