Sells Agency adds 5 to team

The Sells Agency recently added five employees to support new clients and growing demand from longtime clients of the Little Rock-based marketing firm. Four of the five represent new, additional positions, increasing the agency’s employee size from 19 to 23.

Makayla Morris joined the firm in December 2023 in the new position of media specialist. Morris earned her master’s degree in mass communication from the University of South Carolina School of Journalism and Mass Communication in Columbia, S.C., where she also earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism and mass communication. Before joining Sells Agency, Morris interned at AARP and the City of Columbia and worked at the South Carolina Department of Juvenile Justice.

James Garvin is the firm’s new senior videographer and joined the agency in February 2024. Before joining Sells Agency, Garvin was an Emmy-nominated public affairs mass communications specialist for the United States Army, where he composed communication and video messaging for a division of over 50,000 soldiers. He received the 2022 Keith L. Ware Army Videographer of the Year Award and 2022 Army Reserve Videographer of the Year Award. Garvin is a graduate of Chatham University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in communications.

Lauren Myrick joined the agency in a newly created position as account coordinator in September 2024. Before joining Sells Agency, she developed marketing strategies and managed social media platforms for clients of Brown-Forman Corporation of Louisville, Ky., and worked with more than 200 clients as a digital stylist and content creator. This spring, she managed social media for the Southeastern Conference Women’s Basketball Championship. Myrick recently earned a master’s degree in business administration from Mississippi State University, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in marketing and was captain of the university’s volleyball team.

Rob O’Connor joined the agency in a newly created position as senior public relations manager in September 2024. He joins the agency after two decades in strategic communications roles at Hendrix College. A former journalist, he covered business, economic development, government, and healthcare for the Log Cabin Democrat and received the 2006 U.S. Small Business Administration’s Small Business Journalist of the Year Award. He recently completed a graduate certificate in conflict management from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock and became a certified civil and probate mediator. He holds a bachelor’s degree in history from Hendrix College and a master’s degree in professional and technical writing from University of Arkansas at Little Rock.

Suzanne Palmer joined the agency in a new position as senior media planner/buyer in early November. She will be responsible for developing strategy and executing paid media plans for agency clients. She brings to the firm 25 years of experience, most recently as director of channel activation for the Buntin Group of Nashville, Tenn., where she served clients such as Aaron’s, Cabinets To Go, Certified Financial Planners, Perkins Restaurant & Bakery, SERVPRO, Tennessee Education Lottery and Trex. She earned a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Middle Tennessee State University.

CEO Mike Sells said the firm’s recent growth is driven by both new clients and increased business from longtime clients.

Among the firm’s new clients are Everett Automotive Group, Chaffee Crossing, Family Centered Treatment Foundation, Oasis/Recovery Centers of Arkansas, Powers HVAC, Methodist Family Health Foundation, Malys Entertainment, Seal Solar and the Benton Advertising & Promotion Commission,
