Reps. Crawford, Gramlich re-elected to House seats representing Fort Smith
The two contested Arkansas legislative for areas representing parts of Fort Smith will remain in Republican hands. Reps. Cindy Crawford and Zach Gramlich, both of Fort Smith, were re-elected with wide margins.
Rep. Zack Gramlich, R-Fort Smith, who was first elected to the Arkansas House of Representatives in 2022, defeated Democrat Robin Cray with 62.58% of the vote as of 10 p.m., according to figures from the Sebastian County Clerk’s office.
Rep. Cindy Crawford, R-Fort Smith, who was first elected to the Arkansas House of Representatives in 2018, defeated Democrat Jane-Ellen Udouj-Kutchka with 66.94% of the vote as of 10 p.m., according to figures from the Sebastian County Clerk’s office.
Rep. Jay Richardson, D-Fort Smith, ran unopposed for reelection to House District 49.
Sen. Terry Rice, R-Waldron, was unopposed in the Senate District 5 race, which represents the southern portion of the Fort Smith metro, including parts of Sebastian County and all of Scott County.
Sen. Gary Stubblefield, R-Branch, was unopposed in the Senate District 26 race, which represents eastern portions of the Fort Smith metro that includes Crawford, Johnson, Franklin, Logan and Sebastian counties.
Sen. Jim Petty, R-Van Buren, was was unopposed in the Senate District 29 race, which represents north portions of the Fort Smith metro that includes Crawford County and parts of Washington County.
