Park Plaza announces partnership with Museum of Discovery
Park Plaza and the Museum of Discovery announced Monday (June 17) a partnership to provide free educational programming for children and families. The partnership will allow Park Plaza and the Museum of Discovery to expand community access to inspiring and engaging experiences designed to boost interest and exploration in science and technology.
The partnership will bring new science and technology events for families and children to midtown Little Rock’s Park Plaza throughout the year.
The first two events, scheduled for Wednesday, June 26 and Wednesday, July 24, are part of Park Plaza’s newly launched Kids Club series and will feature activities that encourage further learning and exploration in science and technology.
“We are thrilled to collaborate with the Museum of Discovery to present more engaging opportunities for families to explore science and technology,” Second Horizon Managing Partner and Co-Founder Howard Levine said. “It’s crucial for young minds to learn about these fields, and we are excited to partner in sharing captivating events that will inspire and stimulate their curiosity.”
Park Plaza is owned by Second Horizon Capital.
“Reaching children with science and technology at an early age is essential for igniting their natural curiosity and laying the foundation for the innovators and leaders of tomorrow,” Museum of Discovery CEO Kelley Bass said. “We are thankful for Park Plaza’s partnership, which will allow us to reach even more children and families with exciting, interactive events about science.”
Founded in 1927, Museum of Discovery is one of the state’s oldest museums. Its mission is to ignite and fuel a passion for science, technology, engineering, arts and math through dynamic, interactive experiences.
