The Centers Foundation hires Jamie Higgins as executive director

The Centers Foundation hired Jamie Higgins  as its new executive director.

Higgins brings more than 20 years of development experience to The Centers with previous roles at Community Service, Inc., University of Arkansas–Pulaski Technical College, Big Brothers Big Sisters, and Arkansas Foodbank Network.

Centers for Youth and Families, aka The Centers, provides critical mental, behavioral, and physical healthcare services to children, youth and adults all over Arkansas. The agency, founded in 1884, has locations in Little Rock and Monticello and more than 300 employees.

Higgins will lead The Centers’ philanthropic arm and all fundraising efforts.

“We are excited to have Jamie’s passion for The Centers’ mission and fundraising expertise leading our Foundation,” said Melissa Dawson, CEO of The Centers.

Higgins is also an active Rotarian. He is the Rotary International Zone 31 public image coordinator and was governor of Rotary District 6170 during 2020-21. He is also a member of the Public Relations Society of America and has held the Accreditation in Public Relations since 2011.

Higgins holds a bachelor’s degree in public relations from Harding University.
