Wallace and Jama Fowler’s home in Jonesboro donated to Razorback Foundation

Chris and Mark Fowler, sons of the late Jama and Wallace Fowler, have donated the former Jonesboro home of their parents to the Razorback Foundation. The six-bedroom house will be listed and sold with the proceeds benefiting the Razorback Foundation to further its mission of supporting the athletic endeavors of the University of Arkansas Razorbacks.

“We were honored to learn of the Fowlers’ intention to gift us with their parents’ home,” said Ryan White, executive director of the Razorback Foundation. “Chris and Mark and their parents have been longtime supporters of the Razorback Foundation, making a significant impact on the lives of thousands of Razorback student-athletes. This extremely generous gift will further support many more Razorbacks in the future.”

Wallace and Jama Fowler were lifelong partners and passed away within weeks of each other in 2022. During their time together, they owned many businesses across the state and, had several philanthropic endeavors.

Besides the Razorback Foundation and gifts to facilities such as the Fowler Family Baseball and Track Training Center, together they supported several organizations, including the University of Arkansas, with the Wallace W. and Jama M. Fowler House, the chancellor’s residence on the U of A campus, and the Fowler House Garden and Conservatory.

The couple served on steering committees in two major capital campaigns. The first was the Campaign for the Twenty-First Century and Campaign Arkansas and were members of the UA Chancellor’s Society and Towers of Old Main.

“As avid Razorback fans, our parents would be proud to see their house that they loved so dearly, and the subsequent sale, benefit the Razorback Foundation and Razorback Athletics,” Chris and Mark Fowler said.
