Betsy Baker to lead litigation practice, Rose Law Firm adds two as members

The Rose Law Firm has added two new attorneys as members, Nicole Gore and Ryan Smith. Both work out of the firm’s Little Rock office. In addition, Betsy Baker will head the firm’s litigation practice.

Gore has worked on state, local, individual, and corporate taxation and various tax-backed and revenue bond issues. She has experience representing individuals and businesses in the purchase and sale of real estate and frequently assists closely held businesses throughout the acquisition and sale process.

She obtained her law degree with honors from the Charleston School of Law in 2018 and, in 2019, obtained her LL.M. in Taxation from Georgetown University School of Law.

Smith is experienced in the commercial litigation practice that focuses primarily on defending clients in complex matters in state and federal courts and in various administrative tribunals.

He received his law degree from the University of Arkansas School of Law in 2018, graduating with honors. Prior to joining the firm, Ryan served as a judicial law clerk for Judge P.K. Holmes, III of the United States District Court for the Western District of Arkansas.

Betsy Baker will lead the firm’s litigation practice section effective February 1. She will succeed Rick Donovan, who will stay with the firm but move to an of counsel role.

Baker has been with the firm since 2010. She handles a wide variety of civil disputes with her focus and experience concentrated in commercial litigation, including business torts, fiduciary litigation and creditors rights disputes. She also handles family law.
