Rogers-based Generations Bank has hired Josh Vasquez as the company’s market president in Rogers. He replaces Max Harrell, who was elevated recently to chief growth officer.

Most recently, Vasquez was vice president and community outreach officer for Encore Bank in Rogers.

“It’s a joy to welcome Josh to our team in Rogers,” Generations Bank President Joe Ruddell said. “Josh’s experience in the Northwest Arkansas banking industry, along with his dedication to building meaningful relationships with his customers and colleagues, make him a great fit for the Market President role.”

Vasquez, a Northwest Arkansas banker for 20 years, immigrated from El Salvador to Los Angeles when he was 8 years old to live with his mother. Not long after, they left California for Northwest Arkansas, and Vasquez graduated from Decatur High School.

Vasquez is currently attending the Graduate School of Banking at Colorado. He belongs to several boards, including the Rogers Lowell Chamber. He is also involved with L.I.F.E. Prep of NWA, Salvadorenos Unidos Para Arkansas, Mercy Hospital and Single Parent Scholarship Fund of Northwest Arkansas.

Vasquez is a 2015 graduate of Leadership Springdale and a 2018 graduate of Leadership Benton County. He is a member of the Northwest Arkansas Business Journal’s 2022 Forty Under 40 class.

Generations Bank has approximately 130 employees, 10 Arkansas locations and one in Missouri. The bank has one Rogers branch. According to the FDIC, the bank had $831.5 million in assets as of March 31. That’s up from $743.4 million (11.8%) compared with the same date in 2022.
