Nguyen wins national cover design contest

Northside High School senior and artist Huy Nguyen is the winner of the National Jobs for Americas Graduate (JAG) Cover Design Contest with his pencil drawing entitled, “JAG Now More Than Ever! Your Ticket to the Future.”

Nguyen’s, who qualified to compete in the national contest as the Arkansas JAG Cover Design winner, was recognized at the National JAG Conference in Washington D.C.

Nguyen also attended Tilles Elementary School and Darby Junior High School.

His classmates Northside seniors Destiney McReynolds, who was the winner of the Arkansas JAG Speech Contest, and Nicole Alston also competed in the national contests held at the annual gathering of U.S. JAG teachers and administrators. The students were accompanied by Northside Principal Ginni McDonald and their JAG Teacher Eunice Eble.
