Developer announces 2nd Starbucks location in Springdale

Jonesboro-based real estate developer Haag Brown is in the preliminary stages of opening a second Starbucks location in Springdale.
The company announced Wednesday (May 4) plans to build a 2,600-square-foot building at the southeast corner of Elm Springs Road and North 48th Street along southbound Interstate 49. According to Washington County property records, a Haag Brown affiliate paid $2.28 million for the 2.63-acre site in March. The purchase price equals $19.97 per square foot. Mercy Health System was the seller.
Haag Brown has partnered with Washington-based Starbucks on seven retail developments in Northwest Arkansas. The partnership’s first location opened in 2015 at 4224 W. Sunset Ave in Springdale. Starbucks also has a corporate-owned development opening soon at 408 N. Thompson St.
According to a news release, the new Springdale location will have a full-service drive-through, modern storefront layout and outdoor patio seating.
Little Rock-based Encore Bank is providing financing. Stonebridge Construction of Jonesboro is the general contractor.
Haag Brown expects the store to open this fall.
