The Center for Business and Economic Research (CBER) at the University of Arkansas will host its Quarterly Business Analysis Luncheon on May 27 to review the economy and prospects for the nation, state and Northwest Arkansas region.

UA economist and CBER director Mervin Jebaraj will present the analysis. Networking/registration at the Hilton Garden Inn in Fayetteville begins at 11:30 a.m. The presentation begins at noon.

“The program will take a look at new economic data for the nation, Arkansas and Northwest Arkansas, inflation and the Federal Reserve’s change in monetary policy stance, the effect of yield curve inversions and the lingering effects of the pandemic and Russian invasion of Ukraine,” Jebaraj said in a UA news release. “As the national and state economy grows through these challenges, timely economic information is vital to good business and policy decision making.”

The program lasts for approximately 60 minutes, including time for questions and answers. Tickets are available for $50.

For additional information and registration, visit the Quarterly Business Analysis website. For other registration options, call 479-575-4151.

Preregistration by May 20 is required.
