Miranda Gauthier named Springdale market president for Today’s Bank
Huntsville-based Today’s Bank said Tuesday (May 11) that Miranda Gauthier is its new Springdale market president. The company operates one branch office in Springdale at 5178 W. Sunset Ave. Gauthier is filling the role previously held by Kevin Beasley.
According to a news release, Gauthier’s 16-year banking career has included positions at all levels of loan administration, from document processor to vice president of commercial lending. She previously worked at Centennial Bank in Fayetteville.
Today’s Bank also announced the hiring of Chris Hawkins as vice president of commercial lending at the bank’s downtown Fayetteville branch at the corner of Dickson Street and College Avenue.
Hawkins has 13 years of banking experience. He previously worked as a loan officer and assistant vice president at United Bank in Springdale.
“The promise we make to our customers is to provide a strong, stable and secure banking experience,” Today’s Bank president and CEO David Scruggs said in a statement. “With the addition of Miranda and Chris, the teams in Springdale and Fayetteville will be able to provide more personal service through thoughtful banking solutions and modern technologies.”
Chartered in 1991 as First State Bank of Northwest Arkansas — the bank rebranded in 2014 — Today’s Bank is the only Arkansas bank chartered in Huntsville (Madison County).
It has nine branches in Northwest Arkansas and the Fort Smith metro and one office in Ozark (Franklin County). The bank had $276.2 million in deposits as of Dec. 31, according to the FDIC. That’s up 3.6% from Dec. 31, 2019.
Springdale businessman Sam Mathias is the owner of the bank’s holding company, Mathias Bancshares Inc.
