Presley to attend diversity program
University of Arkansas at Fort Smith assistant athletic director/senior woman administrator Beth Presley has been selected as one of 15 college athletic administrators to participate in the National Association of Athletic Development Directors Diversity Initiative Program.
Participants will receive stipends to attend the 2011 NAADD Convention at the World Center Marriott Resort in Orlando, Fla., on June 16-18.
“The NAADD Diversity Initiative Program allows our association to provide a quality professional development opportunity to top-flight minority and female administrators that are both members of our association and looking to further their careers in intercollegiate athletics development and fundraising,” said NAADD President Marija Pientka, who is the associate athletic director for development at the University of Wisconsin.
Joining Presley will be Joy Bentley of Johns Hopkins University, Donald Brooks of Williams College, Lori Dobbins of North Carolina A&T University, Kimberly Dumpson of University of Maryland Eastern Shore, Sterling Frierson of Vanderbilt University, Megan Gormley of Bowling Green State University, Anthony Henderson of Old Dominion University, Karen Holmes of Norfolk State University, Rebekka Jackson of Xavier University, James McClinton III of South Carolina State University, Krysta Plato of Eastern Washington University, Keith Richardson of Rutgers University, Kristin Scott of the University of Missouri and Jennifer Thomas DePaul University.
The NAADD is the first organization of its kind to provide educational and networking opportunities, enhancement of acceptable operating standards and ethics and establishment of the overall prestige and understanding of the profession of athletic development and fundraising. The NAADD is administered by the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA), which is in its 44th year.
