Nassri gets ‘Compassionate’ award
Sparks pediatrician Dr. Louay Nassri has been named a 2010 Most Compassionate Doctor and, for the third straight year, he has received the Patients’ Choice award. The honors are given based on reviews written by patients and tabulated by MDx Medical, Inc.
Nassri is among a small percentage of physicians across the country who have been awarded this distinction. Of the 720,000 active physicians in the United States, less than 3% were awarded the Most Compassionate Doctor honor by their patients in 2010.
A specialist in the field of pediatric pulmonology, Nassri was recently recognized among the Best Doctors in America in 2009-2010. He is a member of the American College of Chest Physicians and has served as governor of the organization representing the state of Arkansas for the past six years.
Nassri was born and raised in Damascus, Syria, where he attended medical school. He has practiced medicine in Fort Smith since 1980, and is with Sparks Pediatrics at 1501 Waldron Road in Fort Smith.
