Little Rock commercial property wins industry award
Pavilion in the Park, a Little Rock mixed-use facility at 8201 Cantrell Road, earned top regional honors at the annual BOMA (Building Owners and Managers Association) TOBY Awards in Oklahoma City on April 6. The Outstanding Building of the Year (TOBY) is the most prestigious and comprehensive program of its kind in the commercial real estate industry.
The award recognizes quality in commercial buildings and also rewards excellence in building management. All nominated buildings are thoroughly evaluated on everything from community involvement, tenant relations and site management to environmental policies.
Pavilion and its management team earned top honors at the local BOMA awards in February, advancing to the regionals in Oklahoma City where the awards were presented “virtually” via video in lieu of in-person ceremonies as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. The property will now advance to the international awards slated to take place in Philadelphia in June.
Pavilion was built in 1985 as an upscale retail center. With retail tenants including B Barnett women’s fashions and Bauman’s men’s store, the center has transformed into a mixed-use facility over the years and now houses executive offices, medical offices, Waco Title Co., ReMax Properties and Legacy Neurosurgery as well as Trio’s restaurant. In addition, the atrium of the facility is often used for weddings, receptions and other events.
Colliers International | Arkansas has managed the property since 2004. Led by senior property manager Teresa Kreis, the management team includes assistant property manager Andrea Davison, and maintenance technicians John Pair and Bruce Strack.
“I am so proud to lead the management team at Pavilion in the Park,” Kreis said in a statement. “It is a special place with amazing owners, wonderful tenants, and a great maintenance/vendor team. This has been a great experience and our ownership and management teams are honored to be recognized by BOMA.”
