SERC opens 4th clinic in Northwest Arkansas
SERC Physical Therapy recently opened an outpatient clinic at 101 E. Emma Ave. in downtown Springdale.
The 1,577-square-foot clinic is open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday. It offers outpatient orthopedic physical therapy, including pre- and post-operative rehabilitation, manual therapy, sports rehabilitation and injury prevention.
Josh Linton is the clinic director. He earned a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis. Linton is certified as an orthopedic clinical specialist and in dry needling. He also is certified by Titleist Performance Institute for golf performance and mechanics and is a Sportsmetrics-certified specialist for ACL injury-reduction programming. He is a worker’s compensation and work conditioning specialist.
Two employees work at the clinic: Linton and an office coordinator. The clinic has one curtained, private treatment area, and most treatment happens in the shared treatment space with plinth tables and exercise equipment, according to a company spokesman.
The clinic is one of four SERC Physical Therapy clinics in Northwest Arkansas, the company’s website shows. In Arkansas, SERC has clinics in Centerton, Fayetteville, Rogers and Springdale. There is also a SERC clinic in Harrison. The company plans to open a second Fayetteville clinic in early 2020 at 2607 E. Mission Blvd., the company spokesman said. The clinics are part of the Upstream Rehabilitation family of clinical care, and it has 19 brands and more than 700 locations across the United States.
SERC was founded in 1997 as Spine and Extremity Rehabilitation Center and started with three clinics in the Kansas City, Mo., area. It offers access to care within 24 to 48 hours and works will all types of insurance.
