Startup incubator The Venture Center named Becky Pittman as its new communications director. The Little Rock based non-profit supporting entrepreneurship said Pittman will provide strategic communications in all areas including the fintech accelerator programs and community programming.

“We are thrilled to welcome Becky to our team,” said Wayne Miller, The Venture Center Executive Director. “Her extensive marketing and strategic communications background makes her an excellent fit for telling The Venture Center’s story, as well as the stories of those entrepreneurs working to drive innovation in Arkansas and around the world.”

An El Dorado native, Pittman’s communications experience ranges from public relations and marketing to public affairs and fundraising. Most recently, she represented several regional for-profit, non-profit, and political clients through her full-service agency, Pittman Strategies.

“My career has long focused on industries and issues that can have a tremendous impact on people’s lives, from political and public affairs campaigns to non-profits serving the greater good,” said Pittman.

“The Venture Center is no different. Our work building the entrepreneurial ecosystem spans a broad range from local small businesses to global fintechs and has an unquantifiable potential impact. What makes it even more exciting is that it’s happening in my adopted hometown of Little Rock,” she added.

Prior to operating her own agency, Pittman lead marketing efforts for Habitat for Humanity of Central Arkansas, supported public affairs campaigns for the Arkansas Trial Lawyers Association, and managed client services for Stone Ward.
