Class of 2018 Forty Under 40 Tim Doyle Commercial Office Manager Waco Title Co.

Before starting in the title industry 15 years ago, St. Louis native Tim Doyle briefly worked in finance but found it wasn’t for him. In 2003, he left to work in the commercial division for a nationwide title company.

Four years later, he and his wife planned to move to Northwest Arkansas, and family connections led him to Waco Title. He soon learned the company had a commercial division, which isn’t common.

“It drew my eye,” Doyle said.

In 2007, he joined Waco Title as a commercial agent. In 2015, he became commercial office manager, overseeing five employees and the company’s Northwest Arkansas office. It was a position he’d tried for multiple times, and landing it was a career highlight.

He handles transactions, real estate closings, producing and issuing title insurance, coordinating with buyers, sellers, lenders and attorneys and underwriting. He also works to retain and gain new business.

Since he started at Waco Title, he’s handled about 475 multimillion-dollar transactions.

“Commercial transactions are typically higher than residential. At least half of the deals I do are over $1 million,” Doyle said, adding some have been in the $30 million to $50 million range.

In 2017, the commercial team he oversees closed 300 transactions, and so far in 2018, the team’s closed 15 more transactions than it had at the same time last year. Also, it has a pipeline of 80 more orders compared with the same time in 2017.

Doyle said he looks to advance in the company, possibly leading its commercial division or landing an executive position.

Married with three children, Doyle enjoys golf and supports Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northwest Arkansas and Children’s Safety Center.
