AFMC hires Daniel J. Riley as chief financial officer
Little Rock nonprofit Arkansas Foundation for Medical Care (AFMC) announced Wednesday (Aug.1) the hiring of Daniel J. Riley as chief financial officer. Riley spent the past 18 years as CFO for the UAMS Medical Center.
“We are pleased to have been able to recruit a veteran, respected CFO from the state’s largest medical center,” Ray Hanley, AFMC’s president and chief executive officer, said in a statement. “Dan will bring us leadership and financial expertise as we continue working to improve health care in Arkansas.”
Before moving to Little Rock in 2000, Riley was vice president and CFO at the Tulane University Hospital in New Orleans, according to a news release.
He began his professional career in 1981 as a certified public accountant at the international accounting and consulting firm of Deloitte & Touche where he worked with clients in health care, real estate, construction, financial institutions, energy and universities. He later served as CFO of a management services organization at Hermann Hospital, which managed a network of more than 120 physicians at 35 sites throughout the greater Houston area in Texas.
Riley is a cum laude graduate of the University of New Orleans, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting.
AFMC is a health improvement nonprofit with nearly 300 employees who work throughout the state, with campuses in Little Rock and Fort Smith.
