Arkansas Children’s Hospital Auxiliary raises $1.2 million
The Arkansas Children’s Hospital Auxiliary donated $1.2 million for Arkansas Children’s Hospital programs. Since 2011, the Arkansas Children’s Hospital Auxiliary has raised $1 million or more annually to support ACH.
The $1.2 million dollar gift was raised through annual initiatives including the Holiday Card project, Miracle Ball, Arkansas á la Carte, Star ACHievers and Playaway Gift Shop. The funds received by the Auxiliary support:
- Arkansas Children’s Research Institute
- Comfort Foods Program
- Palliative Care Program
- Center for Good Mourning Program
- Initiatives to improve patient experience
“Since its inception the ACH Auxiliary has been a champion for children’s healthcare in Arkansas,” said Mary Margaret Marks, president of the Arkansas Children’s Hospital Auxiliary. “Thanks to the dedication of our Auxiliary members and their passion to support the mission of Arkansas Children’s we are proud to provide more than $1 million dollars to ACH to support the work of our researchers, nurses and physicians.”
The ACH Auxiliary’s gift funds the operations of the Arkansas Children’s Research Institute, provides a warm meal to patient families in a private dining area of the cafeteria through the Comfort Foods Program, supports grieving families through the Center for Good Mourning Program and comfort to patients and their families through the Palliative Care program.
New this year, the ACH Auxiliary’s gift will support initiatives to improve the patient experience, specifically enhancing interior and exterior spaces.
