CARTI adds to management, physician teams

CARTI has named three new members to its management team as well as a new physician, according to Adam Head, president and CEO.

Katherine Friend, CFRE, will join as CARTI Foundation president, while Drew Jackson has accepted the position of senior vice president of business development, beginning their duties on May 7 and June 1, respectively.

Christine Worth will serve as Director of Human Resources and joins April 30.

In addition, interventional radiologist Dr. Edgar D. St. Amour will join CARTI at its Imaging Center this summer.

“We are excited to welcome Kathy, Drew, Christine and Dr. St. Amour to the team,” said Head. “Each brings a unique skill set that, when combined with their experience in healthcare, will be valuable assets as we continue mapping the growth of this organization and the advancement of our mission at CARTI.”

Friend will be returning to the Arkansas market after most recently serving as vice president of development of the Novant Health Foundations in Charlotte, N.C., a healthcare system comprised of 14 campuses across the state. Previously, Friend was senior vice president at Arkansas Children’s Foundation, where she was responsible for management of leadership, principal, major and planned gift development functions, as well as portfolio management of leadership gift prospects. Friend comes to CARTI with more than 35 years of fundraising and development experience in private higher education and the healthcare industry.

Jackson, a native of Little Rock, started his medical administration career over a decade ago and has served in several leadership positions in central Arkansas. Most recently, Jackson served as chief strategy officer of Arkansas Heart Hospital in Little Rock, where he was tasked with defining and driving overall business strategy throughout the state. Other leadership positions include administrator of Arkansas Central Primary Care and administrator of Gastroenterology Associates.

Worth comes to CARTI from the Arkansas Federal Credit Union, most recently serving as assistant vice president of organizational development. Her previous positions at Arkansas Federal include human resources manager and leadership development director with a primary emphasis in the areas of payroll processing, employee benefits, employment law, recruitment, new employee onboarding, and leadership and employee development programs. She is a member of the HRMA of Arkansas and the Arkansas Compensation Association.

Dr. St. Amour will be returning to Arkansas after completing a Fellowship for Vascular and Interventional Radiology at Miami Cardiac & Vascular Institute after attending medical school at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences and completing his residency for Diagnostic Radiology at Columbia University in New York City. Dr. St. Amour will join Dr. David Hays at the CARTI Imaging Center.
