Isaac Smith promoted to president of Colliers International Arkansas
Colliers International Arkansas in Little Rock has promoted Isaac Smith to president, the company announced Tuesday (Dec. 5). Kevin Huchingson, the firm’s CEO and president the past 15 years, will retain the CEO title and also be recognized as chairman.
Both moves are effective immediately. Colliers International Arkansas is the state’s largest commercial real estate and property management firm
“Isaac has been taking on additional responsibilities with the firm for several years,” Huchingson said in a news release. “The timing was right for him to step into the official role of president and become actively involved in all critical company decisions. He is well positioned to lead our company’s growth for many years to come.”
Smith, formerly executive vice president and principal, began his career with the company as an intern in 2003 and was named principal in 2009. He specializes his brokerage work in investment properties. He is a Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM), and a member of the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors (SIOR) and the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC).
Huchingson joined Colliers International (then Barnes, Quinn, Flake & Anderson) in 1993, was named principal in 1997 and was elected president and CEO in 2002. As president and CEO, he guided the firm through three mergers – IBR Real Estate Inc., Lane Real Estate Services Inc. and, most recently, Irwin Partners. As a broker, he is active in industrial, office and investment brokerage and also handles consulting assignments for individual and corporate clients. He holds the Counselor of Real Estate (CRE) designation and is also a CCIM, SIOR and ICSC member.
