Garver acquires Kansas firm in Wichita
North Little Rock-based Garver, the state’s largest engineering, planning, architectural and environmental services firm, has acquired Ruggles & Bohm, an engineering and design services firm in Wichita, Kan.
Financial terms were not disclosed in a Garver news release announcing the deal Wednesday (Oct. 11). President Chris Bohm, a founding partner, will lead Garver’s transportation team, arguably the firm’s biggest service line. He will continue as point of contact for the Wichita office, according to the release.
Ruggles & Bohm was founded in 1992 with four employees. The firm now has 12 employees who will all transition immediately to Garver.
“The core values and vision for how we want to service clients have been almost identical between Garver and Ruggles & Bohm for decades, and neither of those will change as we continue to grow together,” Garver President and CEO Dan Williams said in a statement. “Bringing this accomplished team into the Garver family will only strengthen us both as we continue to expand our services and provide our employees with the quality benefits they deserve.”
Garver, which is already working with Wichita Dwight D. Eisenhower National Airport, now has three offices in Kansas, two of them in Wichita. The company has nearly 500 employees between 24 offices in 10 states.
The client roster for Ruggles & Bohm includes the Wichita Airport Authority, McConnell Air Force Base and the Kansas cities of Andover, Bel Aire, Maize, Newton and Wichita.
