Poultry Federation selects new officers, board
The Poultry Federation of Arkansas, Missouri, and Oklahoma has selected its board of directors for the 2010-2011 year. The officers are:
• Chairman: Trent Goins, senior vice president, O.K. Industries Inc.;
• Vice chairman: Todd Simmons, chief operating officer for Simmons Prepared Foods Inc.;
• Treasurer: Kevin McDaniel, vice president of production for O.K. Farms Inc.;
• Secretary: Rob Tanksley, vice president of operations for Tyson Foods,] Inc.;
• Past chairman: Jerry Moye, president of Cobb-Vantress Inc.
Board members are: Shane Acosta, complex general manager, Cargill; Michael Fuller, complex breeder manager, Foster Farms – Del Mesa Farms; Patrick Pilkington, vice president of state government relations and regulatory affairs, Tyson Foods; James Smith, vice president of live operation, Simmons Foods Inc.; Jim Smith, president of Keith Smith Co. Inc.; David Elam, complex manager, Wayne Farms LLC; Charles George, executive, George’s Inc.; Troy Green, plant manager, George’s Processing, Inc.; Vaughn King, western region sales manager, Aviagen Inc; Andrew Lekwa, complex manager, Butterball LLC; Steve Storm, vice president of operations, Cal-Maine Foods; and Jeff Vanemburg, operations manager, Pilgrim’s Pride Corp.
Amy Witte of Danisco Animal Nutrition is the allied industries representative.
Marvin Childers of Little Rock serves as president and chief lobbyist of The Poultry Federation. John Bryan serves as vice president for Missouri, and John Ward serves as vice president for Oklahoma.
The Poultry Federation is a 3-state trade organization representing the poultry and egg industries in Arkansas, Missouri, and Oklahoma. Offices are located in Little Rock, Jefferson City, Mo., and Oklahoma City.
