A Dickson Street-area restaurant is temporarily closed, and will be moving to a new location before re-opening.

The Grillehouse Steak and Seafood, a casual fine dining restaurant on the second floor of the seven-story Legacy Building at 401 W. Watson St., closed in late May, but only for the summer, according to a post on a social media account affiliated with the restaurant.

In response to customer reaction, an administrator of the account posted the following explanation:

“It’s actually the cheapest way to maintain through the summer months, for us, which were nearly unforgiving last summer. As of now we are exploring new locations or a revised menu upon reopening.

“It’s not the happiest of moments, but it’s not the end of the world either. Just a time to gather and reinvent.”

The account has since been deactivated.

In September, the Legacy Building — a 38-unit, luxury condominium building which sits just a block to the west of the Dickson Street entertainment district — sold for $3.2 million to Conway businessmen Todd Ross and Chris Crain and former developer Mitchell Massey of Fayetteville.

The Grillehouse, though, was not part of the sale. The 4,377-square-foot space and restaurant is owned by Clint Boutwell of Oxford, Miss. He opened the restaurant in the fall of 2015 and was originally leasing the space from Kyle Naples. Through his Steakhouse Holdings LLC, Boutwell bought the space last July for $808,426.

It’s now listed for sale with Ashely Joyner with Coldwell Banker Harris McHaney Faucette in Fayetteville. The asking price is $1.19 million.
