Fourth generation of Wilkinson family promoted at Farmers Bank
Ed Wilkinson, president of Greenwood-based Farmers Bank, recently announced the promotion of Jeff Wilkinson to senior vice president and Means Wilkinson to vice president of the privately held bank organized in 1907.
Jeff Wilkinson begins the fourth generation of the Wilkinson family leading Farmers Bank. Jeff started as a teller while still a student at Greenwood High School. He earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration in banking and finance from Arkansas State University. As senior vice president, Jeff will oversee Farmers Bank’s Operation and Technology Department at all of the bank’s locations.
Charles Stanhope “Means” Wilkinson also represents the fourth generation of Wilkinson’s at the bank. Means is the namesake of his grandfather, the late Means Wilkinson, who was at Farmers Bank for more than 60 years. Means is a 2007 graduate of Greenwood High School. Means attended the University of Arkansas and was a quadruple legacy of the Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity. Means started as a management trainee. For the past 5 years, Means served as a loan officer at a Farmers Bank branch office in Fort Smith. In his new capacity as VP in lending, Means will oversee loan production through the bank’s regional banking network and online technologies. Most recently, Means graduated from Southern Methodist University’s Southwestern Graduate School of Banking in Dallas.
