Connections: Build My Future comes to Rogers

More than 2,000 students from Northwest Arkansas were expected to attend the fifth annual Build My Future NWA Construction Career Day and Industry Showcase from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday (April 7) at Rogers Convention Center.

The event provided high school students with hands-on exposure to careers in construction and the skilled trades. Labs were available to students in welding, carpentry, heavy equipment, virtual reality simulators, roofing, and electrical and plumbing.

In past events, students received job interviews, job offers, and guidance on pursuing careers in these fields. Students can also connect with area companies to learn about construction career opportunities in Northwest Arkansas.
