Michael Bredernitz

Michael Bredernitz, 64, of Fort Smith, passed away on January 7, 2026. He is survived by his loving wife, Sarah Bredernitz; two children, Emily and Jacob Bredernitz; and three grandchildren. Michael was known for his warmth, humor, and dedication to his family. He worked as a school teacher for over 30 years, inspiring countless students. A funeral service will be held at Ocker-Putman Funeral Home on January 10, 2026, at 2 PM, with visitation prior to the service from 12 PM to 1:30 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Fort Smith Education Fund.
