Matthew Duane Robinson, age 54, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 3, 2026, at Mercy Hospital in Fort Smith, Arkansas.

Matthew was born on April 28, 1971, in Olathe, Kansas, to John Leroy Robinson Sr. and Judith (Grazier) King. He was a devoted son, husband, father, and grandfather whose life was centered around caring for those he loved.

After earning his GED, Matthew became a true jack of all trades. Throughout his working years, he spent time in both construction and the oil fields, gaining a reputation for his strong work ethic and skilled hands. In recent years, he worked as a home health aide, where he devotedly cared for his own daughter for the final nine years of his career—a role he embraced with patience, compassion, and love.

Matthew found great joy in the outdoors. He loved four-wheeling and camping, especially when shared with his beloved wife, Stacey Robinson. Together, they often celebrated their anniversaries by riding into the woods, setting up camp, and simply enjoying one another’s company. They were blessed with six years together, including two years of marriage filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories.

A natural builder and creator, Matthew enjoyed woodworking and tackling projects of all kinds. With an impressive collection of tools, he crafted heartfelt gifts for family and friends, including picture frames for loved ones and creative Lego accessories and motorized tricycles for his children. His creativity and generosity were evident in everything he made.

Matthew also had a special place in his heart for German Shepherds and leaves behind his cherished five-year-old dog, Ruby, who brought him comfort and companionship.

Matthew will be remembered as a dependable, compassionate man with a creative spirit and an unmatched ability to work with his hands. The highlight of his day was hearing from his children and sharing conversations about life. He never hesitated to do whatever was necessary for his family, a devotion that remained steadfast until his final breath.

He is lovingly survived by his mother, Judith King; his stepfather, C.A. King; his cherished wife, Stacey Robinson; his children, Matthew Robinson II, Christine Robinson II, and Misty Auterson; his stepchildren, Andrea and Will; his grandchildren, Cambriella Linton and Nico Kinney; his step-grandchildren, Caston, Rayden, and Oakley; his brother, John Robinson Jr.; along with numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, and cousins.

Matthew was preceded in death by his father, John Robinson Sr.; his daughter, Desireé Robinson-Linton; and his brother, Paul David Robinson.

Cremation is under the thoughtful direction of Lewis Funeral Chapel.
