Louise Richardson, 94, of Barling went to be with the Lord on Thursday January 1, 2026 in Barling. She was born October 22, 1931 in North Little Rock to Frank and Iva Jewel (Duncan) Stricklin. She was a retired Para Professional, Cook, and bus driver for the Fort Smith School District and a member of Rye Hill Baptist Church. Louise was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. T.J. ‘Ted’ Richardson; her parents, one son Tommy, and two brothers, Frank and Dan Stricklin.
She is survived by two daughters, Robyn Dawson and her husband Steve of Fort Smith and Sara Lawrence and her husband Mark of Fort Smith; one son, Ted Richardson III and his wife Judy of England, AR; seven grandchildren, Jeff and Will Richardson, Joanna Stewart, Matthew Shotzman, Lindsay Lee, Alec and Jorden Lawrence; and nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be at 12:00 PM Tuesday January 6, 2026 at Ocker-Putman Funeral Home of Fort Smith with burial in the U.S. National Cemetery in Fort Smith. Pallbearers will be grandsons, Jeff and Will Richardson, Matt Shotzman, Alec and Jorden Lawrence, and Ryan Lee.
The family will visit with friends from 5:00 until 7:00 PM Monday at Ocker-Putman Funeral Home at 4500 Jenny Lind Road Fort Smith, AR 72901.
