Bobby Don Tweedy, 83, of Mulberry, Arkansas, went to be with the Lord on Friday, January 2, 2026. A devoted servant to both his faith and his community, Bobby was a longtime member of Mulberry Assembly of God Church, an Air Force veteran, and a dedicated public servant who served on the Mulberry City Council and as a former member of the Mulberry School Board. He took great pride in serving others and was always willing to lend a helping hand.
Bobby found joy in music, especially singing in church, and cherished time spent at family gatherings. He also had a fondness for antique cars. Known for his quick wit and warm sense of humor, Bobby loved to play jokes and bring laughter to those around him. Above all else, he was a kind and generous man who truly loved helping others.
He was born September 1, 1942 in Mulberry, Arkansas to the late Edgar and Iva (Goodnoh) Tweedy. He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Shirley (Collett) Tweedy of the home; his daughter, Carrie French and husband James of Van Buren, AR; grandchildren, Cody McChristian, Connor French; brother, Eddie Tweedy of Mulberry; and sister, Wanda Qualls of Choctaw, OK.
Funeral service will be 10:00 AM Tuesday, January 6, 2026 at Mulberry Assembly of God Church with interment to follow at New Cemetery in Mulberry with Military Honors. The family will visit with friends from 5:00 till 7:00 PM Monday, January 5, 2026 at Mulberry Assembly of God Church. Pallbearers will be Keith Moore, Kent Novack, Kent Moore, Brent Tweedy, Dustin Tweedy, and Brian Tweedy. Pastors Dade and John Kindrix will officiate the service with special words from Mayor Gary Baxter.
