Verna Jean Bagley, 89, of Van Buren passed away Monday, December 15, 2025 in a local hospital. She was a graduate of Van Buren High school. She married and was a supportive wife to her husband Joseph Bagley throughout his military career, where she lovingly cared for the household and her three children during his three tours in Vietnam with the United States Army. She was called to devote her life to caring for others. She worked for 38 years as a nursing assistant and retired from Baptist Hospital in Van Buren. She continued to work providing private care to countless patients in their home until she was 81 years old. Her love and devotion for helping others touched thousands of people through her life and career in healthcare. She was a Christian who loved the Lord and honored Him with the love and kindness she showed to others during her life. She was preceded in death by her father Otis Titsworth, her mother Cora Titsworth, by one son Russell Bagley and one brother Harold Titsworth. She is survived by one daughter Priscilla Johnston and her husband William of Van Buren; one son Charles Bagley of Van Buren; two sisters Virginia Hopkins of Van Buren and Shirley Brewer and her husband Brian of Rudy; two brothers Eugene Titsworth and his wife Colleen and Buford Titsworth all of Van Buren; two grandchildren who were the light of her life, Mitchell Johnston and Ryan Johnston. Memorial services will be at 11AM, Saturday December 20, 2025 at Ocker Memorial Chapel in Van Buren under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home. All arrangements and cremation are under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home in Van Buren.
