Shannon Jean Shook

Shannon Jean Shook, age 52, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 11, 2025, at Mercy Hospital in Fort Smith, Arkansas. Born on September 19, 1973, in Fort Smith, she was a beloved daughter of Robert Eugene Shook and Joanne (Smith) Shook.

Shannon was a proud graduate of Rogers High School. It was during those years that she met the love of her life, Shannon Price, beginning a beautiful relationship that spanned 21 years. Talented and hardworking, Shannon built a career in landscaping as an independent business owner. She took great pride in her work—especially mowing and creating well-kept, welcoming yards for others to enjoy.

Shannon’s happiest moments were spent with her family and friends. She especially cherished time spent playing pool with a close-knit group of friends. Those who knew her will remember her as someone who was always joyful, caring, and dedicated. She never met a stranger, and her warm presence will be deeply missed by all who loved her.

Shannon is survived by her beloved wife, Shannon Price; her cherished mother, Joanne Shook; her stepson, Grayson Tags; her sisters, Leighann Shook and Shawna Steely; her brother, Edwin Steinmetz; and her uncle, John Smith. She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Shook, and her sister, Susan Shook.

Cremation is under the thoughtful direction of Lewis Funeral Chapel.
