Patsey Thompson

Patsey Thompson, age 79, of Van Buren, went home to be with the Lord on December 8, 2025. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who touched the lives of everyone she met. Pat was a wonderful homemaker who dedicated her life to her family. She was known for her love of God and her talent for sewing and will forever be remembered for her kindness and humor. Pat was preceded in death by her husband, Otis Thompson; her parents, Earl and Lily Newton; her daughters, Carla Nichols and Lily Thompson; and her brothers, Sam and Calvin Newton.

She is survived by her loving family. Her children, Samantha and husband Tomy Bolfer of Texarkana, Lavonda and husband Dale Staggs of Poteau, Tim and wife Shelly Thompson of Spiro, Renata Cagle of Van Buren, Adam Thompson of Van Buren, Candace Bowman of Van Buren and Tamiray Taylor of Van Buren. She was blessed with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, each of whom she loved deeply. Pat played an important role in their lives, helping to raise and guide them, shaping the people they have become today.

Pat had a blessed life and asked to be remembered with joy and color. There will be no viewing of the funeral service at this time.
