Leslie Ann Schluterman
Leslie Ann Schluterman, age 69, passed away peacefully at her home on December 16, 2025, in Fort Smith, Arkansas. She was born on September 1, 1956, in Fort Smith to Janet (Prothro) Braddy and Benjamin Franklin Braddy, who cherished her deeply.
Leslie was a graduate of Northside High School and later attended Westark Community College. Throughout her life, she was known for her strong work ethic and willingness to take on many roles. During her college years, she worked at Ace Hardware and Señor Bob’s Taco Hut, experiences that reflected her outgoing nature and love for connecting with others. As her career developed, Leslie held various positions with Dale Brown Auctions and Tim Dunn Auctions, where she continued to build lasting relationships within the community.
On November 19, 1976, Leslie married the love of her life, Richard William Schluterman, in Fort Smith. Together they built a life grounded in love, dedication, and family. Leslie enjoyed ATV riding, garage and estate sales, attending auctions, and, above all, caring for those she loved. She had a genuine gift for meeting people and making them feel seen and valued. Leslie will be remembered as a devoted wife, loving mother, faithful provider, and compassionate caregiver. Her joyful spirit, comforting presence, and selfless heart left a lasting impression on everyone who knew her. She consistently placed the needs of others before her own, offering kindness, support, and unwavering love.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Richard Schluterman; her son, Matthew William Schluterman; her brother, Vic Braddy; and several nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
Leslie was preceded in death by her parents, Benjamin and Janet Braddy, and her son, Benjamin John Schluterman.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 18, 2025, at Lewis Funeral Chapel, located at 4817 Kelley Highway in Fort Smith, Arkansas. A graveside service will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, December 19, 2025, at Holy Cross Cemetery in Fort Smith. Chad Harcourt will officiate, and pallbearers will be Nick Braddy, Neil Braddy, Kevin Schluterman, Ron Singleterry, Jonathan Schluterman, and Kenny Grimes. Services and care are entrusted to Lewis Funeral Chapel.
