Jimmy Lynn Frost, age 52, of Dunkirk, Maryland, was born on January 17, 1973, and passed away peacefully with family by his side on December 5, 2025, in Fort Smith, Arkansas.
Jimmy spent many years working with Steamfitters Local 602, where he serviced and installed HVAC units. Before that, he worked in the auto industry and could fix just about anything put in front of him. A true handyman and jack-of-all-trades, Jimmy took pride in helping others and never shied away from hard work. He attended Bowie High School and graduated from Tall Oaks Vo-tech in Maryland.
Jimmy was preceded in death by his father, Jimmy Frost, and his mom, Sharon Hanger as well as his grandparents Doyle and Hilda Frost.
He is survived by his son Jimmy Frost and fiancé Lindsay of Maryland; dad, Ed Hanger of Fort Smith; his brother, Kenneth Mullinax and wife Amy of Fort Smith; his sister, Tonya Fletcher and husband Brian of Paris; his brother, Kevin Hanger and wife Bonnie of Waldorf; his sisters, Kelly Davis and husband Kenneth of Lavaca, Kerry Crawford and husband Barry of Jacksonville, and Karol Kocerek and husband Charles of Orange Grove, Texas; his sister Leasha Koon and husband Robert; his brother Gene Cross of Charleston; and he is also survived by his birth mother, Deborah McCowan.
Jimmy was a free spirit, full of energy, humor, and a spark all his own. He liked fast cars, motorcycles, and demolition derby. He loved TikTok, Mountain Dew, and a good cigarette. Many of the family’s favorite memories are far too outrageous to print, but they continue to bring smiles and laughter to those who knew him best.
He fulfilled a longtime dream by going skydiving and recently shared a special experience attending a Jelly Roll concert with his son, moments his family will forever cherish.
There will be a family-held memorial service at 3:00 PM Sunday December 7, 2025 at Ed Hangers home.
Cremation will be under the direction of Ocker-Putman Funeral Home in Fort Smith, Arkansas.
Jimmy’s memory will live on through the stories, laughter, and unforgettable moments he leaves behind. His spirit, as wild and warm as ever, will be deeply missed.
