Freeman “Butch” Blythe Jr.

Freeman “Butch” Blythe Jr. 67, of Alma, AR. passed away peacefully in his home Wednesday December 10, 2025. He was born in Hammon, IN. on March 17, 1957 to the late Freeman and Jacqueline (Bronson) Blythe. He was the long-time parts manager for Custom Equipment Co. in Fort Smith. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Mary F. Blythe (Beshears); a sister, Lorretta Blythe and brother Jeff Blythe.

He is survived by his son, Michael Blythe of Fort Smith; a daughter, Marinda Cowen of Little Rock; one brother, Bruce Blythe of Alma.

Graveside funeral service will be 1:00 P.M. Tuesday December 16, 2025 at Bolton Cemetery in Alma under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home Van Buren.

The family will visit with relatives and friends from 4-6 P.M. on Monday December 15, 2025 at the funeral home, 700 Jefferson St.
