On March 21, 1954, Joan married her beloved husband, Charles Farnam, in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. Together, they built a life full of cherished memories and a loving family. Joan was a gifted musician who began playing the violin at age 12. Her love for music continued throughout her life as she played both violin and piano and shared her talents as a member of her church orchestra.
Joan also had a deep appreciation for the outdoors. She found joy in tending to her roses, fishing, and spending time at the lake. She never missed an opportunity to cheer on the Razorbacks. Above all, Joan was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She especially treasured time spent baking with her grandchildren, who lovingly called her Granny Joan, and was known for giving the best back scratches.
Joan is survived by her husband of 71 years, Charles Farnam; her children, Steven Farnam of Fort Smith and Terry Farnam of Springfield, Missouri; six grandchildren: T.L., Sandy, Chrystal, Ashlie, Nikki, and Austin; and eleven great-grandchildren: Kamron, Hunter, Catie, Jacob, Kielee, Leelan, Rylie, Conner, Taylor, Brooklyn, and Brayden.
