Danny Joe Core, age 85, of Caulksville, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on his family farm where he was born and raised, surrounded by those he loved. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 67 years, Joyce Core.

Danny was born to Alvin and Mary Magalene Core and spent his life rooted in faith, family, and hard work. He was a devoted father to his daughter, Brenda DeArmond and her husband Curtis and his son, Donald Joe Core. He was a proud grandfather to Dustin Core, Garrett Core and wife Shanae, Jantzen DeArmond, Garrison DeArmond and wife Kelsea, and Denver DeArmond. Danny was also blessed with great-grandchildren: Clara Core, Alayna DeArmond, Devyn DeArmond, Amelia DeArmond, and Alivia DeArmond, all of whom brought him great joy.

In his younger years, Danny was an owner-operator of a dump truck, earning a reputation for reliability and determination. He later dedicated 42 years of his life to dairy farming, where he became known for his tireless work ethic and commitment to providing for his family. Farming was not just his livelihood-it was his way of life.

Danny’s legacy is one of perseverance, humility, and deep love for his family and community.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 17th at Caulksville Cumberland Presbyterian Church, with Bro. Bill VanMeter officiating. Burial will follow at Caulksville Cemetery, under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home in Paris.

Pallbearers are Jantzen DeArmond, Garrison DeArmond, Denver DeArmond, Garrett Core, Jeff Biggs, and Barbette Smithson.

Visitation will be held Tuesday from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Brotherton Funeral Home Chapel in Paris.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made in honor of Danny Joe Core to the Caulksville Cumberland Presbyterian Church Scholarship Fund.

The family would also like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Danny’s loving caregivers for their dedication, compassion, and care during his final day.
