Chris Kane of Little Rock has been promoted to president of Delta Solar Inc., an Arkansas-based solar energy development company.

Kane previously was the company’s vice president of business development, where he played a role in expanding Delta Solar’s presence across the state and advancing clean energy solutions for Arkansas businesses and farms.

An Arkansas native, Kane joined Delta Solar after a 12-year career with KATV Channel 7, where he was a morning news anchor. He has helped companies and agricultural operations integrate solar and battery technologies that reduce operational costs and drive long-term value.

Kane also leads Delta Solar’s legislative and policy initiatives, working to ensure fair, forward-looking energy policy that benefits ratepayers throughout the state.

“I’m honored to have the opportunity to expand my role at Delta Solar and continue to work with our exceptional team as we expand our services across the state of Arkansas,” Kane said. “Arkansas is primed for continued growth in renewable energy, and I’m excited to help drive that progress.”

Kane is a graduate of the University of Central Florida. In addition to his work in the energy sector, he is recognized for his involvement in the community. He is a spokesman for Relyance Bank, is a member of the University of Central Arkansas Bears football broadcast team, and donates his time as emcee for dozens of nonprofit events each year.

He also serves on the boards of The Little Rock Touchdown Club, Youth Home, and The Miss Arkansas Organization.

“Chris’s leadership will continue to build the type of solar company that creates value for customers and takes care of those that work together under the banner,” said Douglas Hutchings, CEO of Delta Solar.
