Chris was raised in Fort Smith, where he learned the value of hard work, earning the rank of Eagle Scout. He developed a strong biblical foundation at Harvest Time and attended Westark College, where he met his wife, Melissa McNally Blevins. Chris earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration. Together, they raised four children, all of whom he loved deeply. He made countless memories with them, most of which were spontaneous outdoor adventures filled with kayaking, fishing, and hiking. After spending a year with the agency, he took a job with the Department of Justice as a Deputy U.S. Marshal in the District of Nebraska. In 2007, he moved to the Eastern District of Arkansas. He returned to his hometown in Fort Smith in 2014 to work with the Western District, serving as Supervisory Deputy U.S. Marshal, a role that reflected his unwavering integrity, dedication, and commitment to protecting others. A man of strong faith, Chris was a devoted member of Grand Avenue Baptist Church, where his love for God guided every aspect of his life. He found joy and peace in the outdoors, especially fishing, floating, and backpacking, often sharing those moments with family and friends. Chris was known for his character, his steady strength, and his unforgettable belly laugh that could be heard from every room in his home. Above all, he was a loving husband and devoted father, whose greatest pride was his family. Chris is preceded in his death by his grandparents, Jay and Jeanette Blevins and Raymond Hudson. Chris leaves behind his wife of 26 years Melissa Blevins, their children Madison, Mason, Maddox, and Myles, along with his parents Mike and Kathy Blevins and his grandmother Jean Hudson, and many other loving friends. The visitation will be held at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, December 17th from 5-7pm. The funeral service will be on Friday, December 19th at 10am at Grand Avenue Baptist Church. A private family burial will follow. Donations can be made in his honor to the United States Marshals Museum.
