Charlotte Sawyer, 67, of Mountainburg, passed away peacefully Thursday, December 4, 2025, at her home, surrounded by love. She was born April 17, 1958 in Annapolis, Maryland. She had worked in the hospitality business for most of her working life.
She was very loving and social. Many have described her as a hard worker, big-hearted, fun loving, and one of the sweetest people they knew with her big smile and infectious laugh.
Charlotte loved the outdoors from her flowers, to sightseeing, riding off-road on dirt bikes, four wheeling, kayaking, fishing, camping, and one of her favorite things, relaxing anywhere there is water. She loved nature’s beauty.
Charlotte had a vast array of talents that she used throughout her home life, as well as the fields she worked in. She was crafty – she loved to paint – pictures, crafts, furniture, rooms. She had a great eye for decorating.
She was an animal lover, rescuing many pets over the years. She leaves behind five fur babies whom she cherished.
She was preceded in death by her father, Jack Birdsong; a nephew, Steven Keith Lusk; and her beloved grandmother, Margret Sue Calloway.
She is survived by her partner of 22 years, Kevin Patrick of the home; a daughter, Bonnie Sue Gallagher and husband Josh of Ridgely, Maryland; her mother, Charlotte (Calloway) Reed of Mocksville, NC; two sisters, Jessie Reed and Robin Jones, both of Mocksville; three brothers, Jack Birdsong, Chuck Birdsong and wife Karen who was Charlotte’s best friend, and Ray Birdsong and wife Kim, all of Mocksville; three grandchildren, Jason Enos, Jeremy Jackson, and Julien Pierce; and two great-grandchildren, Paisley and Dawson Jackson; and many nieces and nephews.
Cremation is under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren, AR. There are no services scheduled at this time.
