Bobby L. Dunn, 77, of Van Buren, passed away Thursday, December 4, 2025 in Fayetteville. He was born October 12, 1948 in Hannibal, MO to the late Ebert and Louise (Clegg) Dunn. He retired from Carpenters Millwright Union Local 71 Fort Chaffee Civil service, he served in the United States Marine Corps from 1966 to 1970, serving in the Vietnam Conflict from 1967 to 1968 when he was wounded March of 1968. Awards he received include: Purple Heart, Combat Action Ribbon, Presidential Unit Citation W/1 Bronze Star, Meritorious Unit Citation, Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Medal, Vietnam Meritorious Unit Citation, Civil Action First Class Color W/Palm, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, Rifle Marksman Badge and Pistol Marksman Badge.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Diane Williams and Francis Bourns; two brothers, David Dunn and Glen Dunn; and a grandchild, Casey Hays.
He is survived by his wife, Pamela Dunn of the home; a daughter, Stephanie Wilson and husband Barry of Van Buren; three sons, Jason Dunn and wife Brandie of Rudy, Cliff Hays and wife Marybeth of Rudy, and Clint Hays and wife Lori of Cedarville; three sisters, Lizzy Aldrige, Becky Porter, and Anita Quinalty; a brother, Steven Dunn; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Graveside service will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 10, 2025 at the Fort Smith National Cemetery, under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren, AR.
Pallbearers will be Chase Dunn, Steven Dunn, James Dunn, Paul Dunn, Zachary Wilson, Seth Wilson, Tina McGuires, and Jordan Marks. Honorary pallbearers will be Jesse Yuttermen, Steve Hays, Kenny Fry, JC Green, Terry Lovell, Gregg Cossey, Dickie Zellers, Ray Walsh, and James Riggs.
