Billie Jean Chastain
Billie Jean Chastain, who resided in the Bloomer Community, passed away Saturday, December 6, 2025, at Brooken Hill Health & Rehab Center in Fort Smith, Arkansas. She was born on November 10, 1933, in Charleston, Arkansas, to the late W.H. “Bill” Phillips and Una Lou (Kersh) Phillips. She was 92 years old. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Raymond Edward Chastain; two sons, Roger Chastain and Phillip Chastain; two granddaughters, Cherri Lynn and Erin Elizabeth; a sister, Betty Haney; and a brother, John Phillips.
Billie was a homemaker and member of Bloomer Baptist Church.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, December 13th at Brotherton Funeral Home Chapel in Charleston, with Bro. Randy Moore officiating. Burial will follow at Hampton Cemetery, located north of Branch, under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home and Flower Shop in Charleston.
She is survived by two daughters, Mary Sory and husband Emory of Charleston and Kathy Chastain and partner Janie Burks of Tonitown; three sons, Harold Ray Chastain of Fort Smith, David Leeman Chastain and wife Theresa of Charleston, and Bud Chastain and wife Linda of Wichita, Kansas; her grandchildren, Lori, Nick, Jason, Amanda, Ryan, Heather, Whitney, Daryl, Brad, Sarah, Emily, Matthew, Jordon, Katy, and Kyle; her great-grandchildren, Ema, Austin, Ayden, Tucker, Cole, Aric, Joshua, Hayden, Asher, Lily, Hank, Lucas, Jacob, Jonah, and Millie; and one great-great- granddaughter, Zhaia.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
The family will visit with friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
