Baptist Health part of new solar farm project
Baptist Health and Seal Solar are in the final stages of construction of a 13.05 megawatt solar array for the hospital system’s campus.
The array is one of the largest non-utility scale systems installed in Arkansas. Seal Solar is installing 22,300 Bifacial Modules on 49 acres with an estimated production of 22,683,343 kWh/year.
“Baptist Health is excited to be a part of this new solar farm – a step toward generating cleaner, more sustainable power while reducing costs,” said Brent Beaulieu, Chief Financial Officer for Baptist Health.
“This project reflects our commitment to being a greener organization and builds on our strong record of energy efficiency, demonstrated by our 83% Energy Star Rating at Baptist Health Medical Center-Little Rock,” he added.
“Seal Solar has a long history of working with businesses, farmers, and non-profits across Arkansas to incorporate solar and storage into their energy needs mix. We are proud to be working with the team at Baptist Health to help meet their sustainability and cost-saving needs,” said John Buckley, Superintendent overseeing the construction of the project.
The solar array for Baptist Health is scheduled to be completed in early Spring 2026.
Seal Solar is a member of Arkansas Advanced Energy Association (AAEA), is a licensed Arkansas contractor, and employs certificate holders from the North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners (NABCEP).
